The new A1 Grand Prix championship has postponed the forthcoming round at Sentul in Indonesia following the death of Dubai's ruler.

Emir of Dubai Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum died aged 62 on a visit to Australia.

The A1GP series was conceived and paid for by another member of Dubai's ruling family, Sheikh Maktoum Hasher Maktoum Al Maktoum, whose father was a cousin of the Emir.

With 40 days of mourning declared in Dubai, the series has opted to postpone the races scheduled for January 15th, with no replacement date yet agreed by organisers.
