Two accountants have been instructed to cease providing accountancy and related services after disciplinary hearings held by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (ICAI).
Mr Aidan Chandler, formerly with a practice in Cork, was excluded from membership of the Institute and faces €8,000 in costs.
As a result, he can no longer describe himself as a Chartered Accountant. Any licences or authorisations issued by the ICAI dependent on membership will also be automatically revoked on exclusion.
Mr Martin Daly, with a practice in Co Cork, has had his practicing rights withdrawn and been ordered to pay costs of €9,500.
