AN Albanian accused of causing grievous bodily harm to a Bosnian security guard in O'Connell Street, Dublin, may face further, charges, a court heard yesterday.

Mr Affrin Xhafa(2l), who is at present in custody, had his bail doubled to an independent surety of Pounds 10,000 after Dublin District Court heard evidence that he had given a false address at his last appearance.

The court heard a file had gone to the Director of Public Prosecutions after an incident at Abrakebabra restaurant, O'Connell Street, on June 17th.

The incident led to the death of an off-duty security guard from Co Carlow.

Sgt John McMahon said another "incident" had arisen as a result of the matter currently before the court and a file was being prepared in relation to that as well.

He said the defendant could be facing more charges.

The court heard evidence from the representative of a city centre hostel, where the defendant had claimed to live, that he was barred on May 21st and the Eastern. Health Board had cancelled payment of his Social Welfare there.
