London - The man accused of murdering Dr Lin Russell and her daughter Megan told detectives he had taken so many drugs he had no idea where he was on the day of the killing, a court heard yesterday. Mr Michael Stone (38), a heroin addict, repeatedly denied in police interviews that he had committed the murders but admitted he had no alibi, the jury at Maidstone Crown Court was told. He claims that fellow prisoners had orchestrated a campaign of abuse against him and had fabricated confessions in order to "fit him up" for the killings near Canterbury, Kent, on July 9th, 1996.
