BRITAIN:Kieren Fallon: At the time of the alleged conspiracy, he was stable jockey for trainer Sir Michael Stoute in Newmarket and lived in the village of Cowlinge, a few miles away. Since his ban from British races he has moved to Tipperary.
Fallon had known the Lynch brothers since childhood as they were all brought up near each other in Co Clare.
Miles Rodgers: A professional gambler with business interests in south Yorkshire and former director of Platinum Racing Club Limited, which owned 32 horses in training, including a horse called Legal Set.
In April 2004 he was disqualified for two years by the Jockey Club which meant he was banned from entering racecourses and jockeys were barred from having dealings with him.
Fergal Lynch: Until the end of the 2003 flat season, he had been the stable jockey for trainer Kevin Ryan.
Fergal Lynch and Mr Williams get an allowance while their licences are suspended.
Shaun Lynch: Fergal's older brother who worked for various bookmakers and shared a cottage with his brother within a stable complex in Lodge Yard, Minskip, north Yorkshire.
Darren Williams: A licensed jockey who lived in Leyburn, north Yorkshire. Also receiving an allowance while suspended.
Philip Sherkle: a barman and a former employee in a furniture shop in Dublin. He lives in Tamworth, Staffordshire.
He said he met Mr Fallon through the owner of a pub in Newmarket in early 2004. Mr Fallon said he gave him occasional tips because he thought they were just for him.
