Two women were injured and brought to hospital last night after being injured by an acid bomb thrown across the peaceline at the east Belfast interface of Short Strand.

The women are not thought to have been seriously injured when the bomb was thrown into Cluan Place from Clandeboye Drive.

There were also late night incidents of stones and fireworks being thrown over the wall into the Catholic Clandeboye Drive and a pipe bomb was thrown at around 11 p.m. Police say there were no reports of injuries in the incident.
