A 13TH-CENTURY church in Co Limerick is to undergo a €1.2 million face-lift.
Work on the restoration of the Holy Trinity Abbey Church in Adare will include essential structural repairs to the roof and brickwork and minor alternations to the interior.
The parish committee is confident that work will be completed by March 2011.
Scaffolding has been erected along the tower but steps have been taken to minimise the impact the work will have on weddings and other ceremonies according to the restoration committee.
