Aer Lingus said it hopes to operate a "limited schedule" of European flights next Tuesday and Wednesday in order to minimise the disruption to customers due to the strike action by pilots in the Ialpa union.

In a statement, Aer Lingus said it will be in a position to provide final schedule details including flight numbers and times tomorrow.

From Dublin, the company will provide five return flights to London Heathrow; two return flights to Amsterdam, three return flights to Manchester, one return flight to Malaga, and one return flight to Faro.

There will be two return flights each from Malaga and Faro to Dublin.

From Cork, there will be two return flights to Heathrow and there will also be a return flight to Heathrow from Shannon.
