Aer Lingus has appointed Mr John O'Donovan as acting chief executive, while the board seeks a replacement for Mr Michael Foley.
A subcommittee of the board is meeting today to decide on a process for finding a new chief executive. Chairman Mr Bernie Cahill, and board members Mr Paddy Wright and Ms Rose Hynes, will sit on this committee.
Mr O'Donovan has been Group Finance Director since 1995, is on the Aer Lingus board and is also company secretary.
