Over 98 per cent of the 1,400 Aer Lingus cabin crew this evening rejected a new pay deal and strike notice is expected to be served tomorrow.
IMPACT said staff rejected the deal because they would have to work for 35 years to reach a the top salary rate of £25,000.
This pay scale, coupled with what an IMPACT representative described as onerous working hours, were cited as reasons staff why rejected the offer.
