The new deal between Aer Lingus management and the trade union Impact and the Irish Airline Pilots' Association means that the company's new base in Belfast will open as scheduled on December 10th.
Staff recruited for the new facility will be employed on local terms and conditions.
Similar arrangements will also apply for future bases established abroad.
A new defined contribution pension scheme will apply for staff in Belfast.
Pilots in the Republic moving on secondment to Belfast will be able to retain their existing defined benefit pension scheme but local pay and conditions will apply.
Pilots in Belfast moving to the Republic will be able to use the value of their defined contribution pension fund to buy into the scheme in the south.
Promotions to the rank of captain at bases internationally will be from the current seniority list rather than by means of direct entry competition. Local pay and conditions will apply.
Aer Lingus to recognise Impact/Ialpa as the representative body for pilots in Belfast, subject to issues on a "fly anywhere" agreement with the company being completed shortly.
