The three Aer Rianta operated airports at Dublin, Cork and Shannon are three of the fastest growing airports in Europe, with only London's Stansted showing faster growth.
Aer Rianta said yesterday that growth at Dublin, Cork and Shannon was 17, 19 and 18 per cent respectively for the first six months of 1996. Stansted's growth was 32 per cent.
The passenger numbers achieved were Dublin up 17 per cent at 4.07 million, Cork 19 per cent (497,396) and Shannon 18 per cent (741,197), according to figures by the Airports Council International (European Region).
