Ten people were killed by Taliban suicide bombers in Afghanistan today, mainly police and army training officers.
Five army training officers were killed and nine others wounded when the attackers opened fire on a bus carrying the officers on the main road from Kabul to the eastern city of Jalalabad, the site of Nato and Afghan army bases and several similar attacks.
"Two suicide bombers launched small arms fire on the vehicle carrying officers of Kabul's military training centre and one later blew himself up," the Defence Ministry said in a statement.
At least four other suicide bombers stormed a military recruiting centre in North Kunduz province killing five people including two police officers. The Taliban have claimed esponsibility for both attacks.
