Henrik Larsson's agent was adamant the Celtic striker would see out his contract with the club this season despite renewed speculation linking the prolific striker to a number of Premiership clubs.
With Celtic eight points clear of Rangers at the top of the SPL, they could be tempted to cash in on Larsson as he will leave the club when his contract expires in the summer.
O'Neill still has slight hopes of persuading him to stay beyond this season but while his representative believes he will not walk out on the club now, he insists that it will different in May.
"Of course he is going to stay at Celtic until the end of the season," said his agent Rob Jansen. "He has no plans to go anywhere just yet. Yes, there has been a lots of interest shown in Henrik as you might expect.
"But he wants to see out the season. I have spoken to Celtic but they know he will leave this summer. He is not thinking about other clubs at the moment. He is focusing on Celtic and he will look at his options in the summer.
Larsson has been linked with moves to Manchester United and Birmingham in recent weeks, given that the transfer window opens on New Year's day.
