Agreement has been reached at the Labour Relations Commission tonight between the Dublin Printing Group of Unions and Irish Times management on the terms of a voluntary severance and early retirement package.
The terms will be put to the constituent unions over the coming weeks.
The Company and unions are to recommend the package of severance terms based on five weeks pay for every year of service plus statutory entitlements, with a limit of 117 weeks on the package.
A comprehensive early retirement package was also agreed at the day-long meeting at the LRC.
