A meeting of Dublin Airport workers, called to decide what form of action they would take in solidarity with striking Cityjet employees, has ended.
Aer Lingus, Aer Rianta, Aviance, Servisair and FLS workers met on the old airport road this afternoon following previous expressions of support for the Cityjet workers who are striking over pay and conditions.
Sections of SIPTU are now to be balloted on supportive action for the Cityjet workers.
SIPTU, which represents some 90 per cent of the 120 workers at the company, says Cityjet handling staff are paid 33 per cent less than employees of other companies performing similar work.
It is understood results of the ballots will be known by the end of next week.
