London - British and French intelligence swapped the blood of Henri Paul, the driver of Princess Diana's car, to cover up her "murder" and that of her companion, Dodi Fayed, Mr Mohammed Al Fayed claimed yesterday in a BBC interview.
He insisted that if only he was allowed access to secret service files, he could prove their deaths were the results of a plot orchestrated by the royal family and secret services to prevent them from marrying. Buckingham Palace said: "Mr Al Fayed's views are a matter for him."
