Alamshar, general second favourite for the Vodafone Derby, has been given the green light to run in his intended prep race at Leopardstown tomorrow.
The John Oxx-trained three-year-old was the subject of a scare earlier in the week when he was found to have an abscess on a hind leg.
However, a stable spokesman said today: "He definitely runs. Everything is OK. The foot has come right and his blood is right.
"He has to prove himself now. That's up to him."
The colt will clash with fellow Epsom contender Brian Boru in the Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial, which is expected to be the most informative of the trials leading up to the Vodafone Derby.
Alamshar won both his races last season and though he was beaten in the Ballysax Stakes on his reappearance last month, he put in an eyecatching run and just failed to overhaul pacemaking Balestrini.
