Tirana - Albania said yesterday it had not been consulted about a Turkish suggestion that the Kurdish rebel leader, Mr Adbullah Ocalan, could be sent to Albania from Italy and it would not accept him if such a request was made.
"Even if it is proposed to us, we do not intend to consider it," a diplomatic adviser to the Prime Minister, Mr Pandeli Majko, said. The Turkish Prime Minister, Mr Mesut Yilmaz, said in comments published yesterday that Mr Ocalan, arrested in Rome last month, might be sent to a third country.
