Geneva - Algeria accused UN officials yesterday of acting in bad faith and taking sides with Morocco over a plan for autonomy in Western Sahara which has been rejected by the independence movement Polisario. In a report to the Security Council on Friday, the UN General Secretary, Mr Kofi Annan, said the autonomy plan might be "the last chance for years to come" to settle the 26-year-old conflict between Morocco and the Algerian-backed front.
