Jonah Lomu is considering a shock switch to Rugby League, according to newspaper reports in Australia.
The New Zealand All Black star is a target for National Rugby League outfit New Zealand Warriors.
"From preliminary discussions, it appears that Jonah is deadly serious, and could end up playing league in the NRL, or rugby in Europe," said Warriors chief executive Mick Watson.
"We got a call from an associate of Phil Kingsley-Jones [Lomu's manager] who said Jonah would like to speak because he doesn't feel that he has been treated right by the New Zealand rugby union.
"We were told that if the offer was right, then Jonah would come across and play Rugby League," Watson told the Sydney Daily Telegraph.
Watson will meet Kingsley-Jones in Auckland later today to discuss Lomu, whose existing New Zealand Rugby Football Union contract expires at the end of this season.
"According to Phil, Jonah is feeling a bit flat about rugby union, and he would like a new challenge," Watson said.
