GAA president Nickey Brennan has confirmed the 2008 All Stars will tour to San Francisco in December.
The news came today as Clare hurling captain Brian O'Connell and Fermanagh forward Eamon Maguire were named the Vodafone GAA Players of the Month for June.
Brennan also confirmed Vodafone will be continuing their sponsorship of the monthly awards and the All Stars tour, which, this year, will take place between December 3rd and 10th.
O'Connell and Maguire, who have been influential in their counties' progression to their respective provincial finals, were presented with their awards by Brennan today.
"There is no doubt that two of the biggest success stories of the championship so far have been the progress of the Clare hurlers and Fermanagh footballers," said Brennan. "I am delighted to see Brian and Eamon honoured for their contribution to those successes."
After leading his side to victory over Waterford and Limerick in June, midfielder O'Connell and his teammates will take to the field against Tipperary on Sunday in their first Munster hurling since 1999.
Fermanagh will be contesting their first Ulster final since 1982 when they meet Armagh on Sunday week and Maguire has been key to their progress, especially against Derry when he scored 0-2 in the 1-11 to 1-9 over the favourites.
