Formula One:Fernando Alonso has denied rumours that he could quit Formula One should he win his third World title this season.
The Spaniard, who won back-to-back titles with Renault in 2005 and 2006, is currently tied for the lead in this year's battle for the Drivers' Championship title.
After three races, which included a victory at the Malaysian GP, Alonso is on 22 points, along with his rookie team-mate Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen.
And should he go on to win the title, expect to see Alonso back next year, challenging for what would be his fourth successive Championship victory.
"Even if I do achieve my ambition (in 2007) it will not mean that I will no longer want to drive. If I should become a three-time World Champion, I will try to do it four times," he told Deutsche Press-Agentur.
"Each year you need new motivations and new goals. This year the motivation is to win with McLaren-Mercedes and get the title.
"And next year will not be different."
