THREE stamps marking the 50th anniversary of the Naval Service were released yesterday.
They feature vessels used by the Naval Service down through the years: a coastal patrol vessel (32p), a corvette (44p) and a motor torpedo boat (52p).
Commodore J.J. Kavanagh said the Naval Service was "delighted and honoured" by the launch, which took place on board the Service's flagship, LE Eithne, at Naval Headquarters, Haulbowline, Co Cork, yesterday.
The stamps are available at all post offices.
