JERUSALEM A Palestinian who lived in East Jerusalem and who carried an Israeli identity card was killed on Saturday, becoming the third land dealer to die inside a month, writes David Horovitz.

Israel Police said yesterday that they had thwarted other such killings at the weekend. The Israelis publicly blame Mr Yasser Arafat's Palestinian Authority for the deaths.

Ali Jamhour, the latest man to die, was a resident of East Jerusalem's Shuafat refugee camp, whose most recent "crime"

was apparently to broker the sale three months ago of a home from Palestinians to Israelis in the Abu Tor neighbourood. Last week, he was questioned over his land dealings by official Palestinian security agents. On Saturday, his body was found outside Ramallah. He had been shot twice in the head.
