Anthrax used to poison a letter sent to the Senate Mr Tom Daschle may have been produced in the United States, the White House said today.
"While we can't rule out that it may come from a foreign nation or state sponsored, that sophistication also indicates that it could be produced by a PHD microbiologist, it could be produced by a lab of some sophistication," said spokesman Mr Ari Fleischer.
