Four anti-war activists have been remanded on bail after appearing at a special sitting of Ennis District Court.
The four Margaret Liddy (34) of, North Circular Rd, Limerick and St John O'Donnobhain (21) of Ath Stain, Kilkenny Niall Harnett (39) from Liscannor, Co Clare and Conor Cregan (33) with an address in Shannon Co Clare were charged in connection with a protest at the Shannon Airport terminal yesterday.
The court was also told that an offensive weapon was recovered from Mr Harnett and that the matter was under investigation.
Gardai had asked that the four be excluded from Shannon airport and be required to sign on daily at designated Garda stations.
However, the the judge declined to do so and remanded them on bail to appear again before Shannon District Court on the 13th of October.
