A Northern Ireland man is expected in court in Co Clare today after being arrested following a disturbance on a plane flying from Belfast to Spain.
An hour into the flight from Aldergrove International Airport, Belfast yesterday afternoon, the aircraft diverted to Shannon International Airport when the crew reported the disturbance.
The man, a 48-year-old from Ballymena, Co Antrim, was arrested by gardaí and airport police when the flight landed.
The aircraft later resumed its journey to Spain.

The man, who was detained under the Air and Navigation Act, is expected to appear in court later.
