Galway 6-21 Antrim 1-10: Galway were comprehensive winners over Antrim in today's All-Ireland SHC qualifier at Casement Park.
Championship debutante and rising Galway star Joe Canning lived up to the hype as he netted two goals. His two quick fire goals in the first period ensured Galway a 2-13 to 1-08 lead at half-time.
Further Galway goals came from Damien Hayes and Alan Kerins while Kerril Wade also found the Saffrons' net on two occasions.
In the early stages Galway were made to work as the Ulster champions got back on level terms at 0-10 to 1-07 through a Michael Magill goal, while Donal McNaughton found his range to fire over crucial points.
Antrim's cause wasn't helped in the second half when Michael McCambridge was sent-off. By this stage it was all one way traffic as Galway ran out comfortable winners.
