The Supreme Court has reserved judgment on an appeal against the upholding of a decision of the Environmental Protection Agency to grant a licence for a hazardous waste incinerator at a pharmaceutical plant in Co Clare. Ms Orla Ni Eili, of Harmony Row, Ennis, has appealed on some 20 grounds against a High Court judgment refusing to quash the EPA's decision of December 17th, 1996, to grant a licence to Roche Ireland for the incinerator at its plant at Clarehill, Clarecastle, near Ennis. The four-day hearing concluded yesterday before the five-judge court. The Chief Justice, Mr Justice Hamilton, said the court would reserve its decision.
