Gardaí are appealing for information following an armed robbery on a fast food outlet in Co Offaly last night.
A man walked into Abrakebabra on Church Street in Tullamore and threatened two staff members with a knife at about 9.30pm.
“He went behind the counter, forced open the till, took the contents and fled,” a Garda spokesman explained. The lone raider was wearing a tracksuit and was well covered up.
The man “was completely covered up, just his eyes were visible”, the spokesman added. Gardaí are examining CCTV footage and carrying out inquiries in the area.
