Gardaí have appealed for information about a car crash in which a teenager was seriously injured in Co Offaly last night.
The crash occurred at Meelaghans on the R420 Tullamore to Geashill road at about 7.50pm.
The 17-year-old male who was driving the car was seriously injured in the incident. Two female passengers travelling in the vehicle were not injured.
Gardaí are understood to be investigating the possibility that a second car involved in the incident left the scene.
Diversions are in place while a technical examination of the scene is carried out.
