CAITRÍONA MURPHY has been appointed to The Irish Times Trust. She is a consultant with Praesta Ireland, a senior executive coaching business that she established with other former business leaders in 2001.
A former chairwoman of the Investor Compensation Company and of the Labour Relations Commission, she also served as a member of the board of the ESB, the International Fund for Ireland, the board of St James’s Hospital and other public bodies, including the Remembrance Commission.
She is a former senior public servant in the Department of Finance, the Economic Planning Board and the National Board for Science and Technology.
Ms Murphy joined Goodbody Stockbrokers in 1988 as a corporate finance director. She was appointed managing director of AIB Corporate Finance in 1994, where she advised companies on flotations, mergers and acquisitions.
She left AIB in 1999 to pursue a portfolio of interests, including non-executive roles.
