The Apprentice Boys of Derry have moved forward the date of their annual "Lundy Day" parade from December 18th to December 4th in an effort to minimise disruption to pre-Christmas trade. The Apprentice Boys' general secretary, Mr Billy Moore, said the gesture was intended as a thank you to Derry's business community for its support over the past 18 months.
"We appreciate that the Saturday immediately before Christmas will be a busy time. The Apprentice Boys have proven time and time again that they are capable of imagination and innovation in dealing with issues," he added.
