Rock is back in vogue again, regaining its throne following attempted coups by trance, trip-hop, drum 'n' bass, post-rock and pre-teen pop. Bon Jovi is the crown prince of poodle rock, and he makes his triumphant return at the RDS Arena next Friday, just a day before the Robin Hood of rawk, Bryan Adams, does his thing at Slane Castle. Jon Bon Jovi has been dabbling in acting of late but with his new album, Crush, he's back to doing what he does best - playing the flamboyant pop star role to the hilt. Backing Jon up in true rock monster fashion is guitarist Richie Sambora (he dates Heather Locklear) and drummer Tico Torres (Eva Herzigova), both of whom happily give love a bad name. Add in David Bryan and Alex John Such, toss in such top hits as Livin' On A Prayer, Bad Medicine and Blaze Of Glory, and you've got a night that's guaranteed to RAWWWK!
