Iarnród Éireann has said the Arklow to Gorey rail line has reopened following a landslides along the route two weeks ago.
A section of the line was closed just north of Inch, Co Wexford, about three miles south of Arklow, Co Wicklow, following what appeared to be flooding damage to an embankment supporting the railway line.
Iarnród Éireann said today full services on the Dublin to Rosslare line have now resumed, replacing the bus transfers.
The Limerick to Ennis line remains closed due to flooding with bus transfers in operation. Flooding has also interrupted the Dublin to Westport line with bus transfers between Athlone and Roscommon, and these are expected to remain in place until next week.
Flooding on the Dublin to Sligo line means bus transfers are in place between Carrick-on-Shannon and Longford.
