Armed raider robs Down store

Police are appealing for information following an armed raid on a convenience store in Co Down last night.

Police are appealing for information following an armed raid on a convenience store in Co Down last night.

Shortly after 8pm a man entered the store on the Cumber Road, Drumaness, armed with a knife.

He threatened staff and demanded money from the till before making his escape on foot with a sum of cash. No one was injured in the raid.

Police describe the man as being 16 years old, of medium build and approximately 5ft 7in in height. He was wearing a black-suited top, black-sports bottoms with a white stripe on each leg, white runners, black gloves and a hood pulled over his face.
