A teenage boy at the centre of the latest crisis over detention places for juveniles was finally arrested yesterday and detained by order of a judge.
The 15-year-old has failed to turn up in court 53 times and last week had to be held in a Garda station because of the lack of places.
Last Friday, he was sentenced to two years' detention in his absence after failing to turn up on a number of charges, including interfering with a car, criminal damage and attempted theft.
