Racing: Asian Maze has been confirmed as an intended runner in the Group Two Prix La Barka at Auteuil next Sunday.
The seven-year-old mare rounded off her season with resounding wins at Grade One level at the Aintree and Punchestown Festivals.
And trainer Tony Mullins admits he is looking forward to running his stable star in a race which is traditionally seen as a stepping stone to the French Champion Hurdle which is run on the same track.
"I haven't been there since Dawn Run and it will be interesting to see how she likes it," said Mullins.
"As long as everything is 100 per cent on Tuesday, she travels by boat. We'll see how she handles the ground and the track next week before making any further decisions," Mullins told the Racing Post.
Mullins also confirmed that Ruby Walsh will ride the mare.
"It will be interesting to see what Ruby thinks after the race as to whether we'll go back there for the Champion Hurdle."
"I'd like to consider Royal Ascot (Queen Alexandra Stakes) only as long as there is no firmness in the ground, but in June the going is likely to be quick so we'll see."
Michael Hourigan's Kerryhead Windfarm, who finished four and a half lengths behind Asian Maze at Punchestown is also likely to travel.
