A man who refused to pay compensation to three men he assaulted has been jailed for eight months

A man who refused to pay compensation to three men he assaulted has been jailed for eight months. Judge Sean Delap sentenced Anthony Murphy (29), of Laragh Close Donaghmede, Co Dublin. Swords District Court heard that Murphy head-butted Mr Christopher Keogh in a public house on August 20th. Mr Keogh had to take three days off work. Murphy also pushed Mr Keith Keogh over a table and assaulted Mr Barry Evans outside the pub.

"Anyone who head-butts intends to do damage," said Judge Sean Delap, who was told that Murphy had been provoked by local youths.
