Over 10,000 secondary teachers are set to be docked five days' pay tomorrow. But it is now likely they could be refunded the money if the current moves to resolve their dispute are successful.
Plans to deduct a further four days' pay early next month have been stalled. With all the arrangements in train, the Department has no alternative but to proceed with tomorrow's deduction.
But after talks with ASTI last night, it agreed to make no further deductions if the dispute was resolved.
