A huge explosion rocked the central Palestinian prison in Gaza City after sundown today, Palestinian security officials said, and hospital doctors said at least seven people were wounded.
The explosion occurred between a jail and a Palestinianintelligence headquarters in the centre of Gaza City, thesources said.
Palestinian officials had no immediate comment and the causeof the blast was unclear. The wounded were rushed to ShifaHospital in Gaza City, witnesses said.
