Racing: Mouse Morris has confirmed War Of Attrition will take his chance in the rearranged John Durkan Memorial Punchestown Chase on Tuesday after the abandonment of today's card due to frost.
The 2006 Cheltenham Gold Cup hero has made a fantastic return from injury after almost two years off the track, firstly beating the now-retired Kicking King and then taking the Thurles Chase in impressive fashion.
A return to Grade One company is now firmly on the agenda and although he will have to wait another 48 hours due to the current cold snap, Morris does not envisage this causing too many problems.
"It's definitely the plan to run him on Tuesday all being well," said the Tipperary handler.
"It's obviously not ideal, but it's the same for all of them and you just have to try and get on with it. Touch wood he seems in good form, so we'll strive on."
The Grade One contest does not look like losing any of its appeal, with English raiders Noland and The Listener also both intended starters.
