Racing:There are no plans as yet to return War Of Attrition to the track following the setback which ruled the 2006 Cheltenham Gold Cup hero out of last season's race.
The eight-year-old, owned by Ryanair boss Michael O'Leary under the banner of his Gigginstown House Stud, was found to have heat in a leg following routine exercise in early March.
Trainer Mouse Morris put him away for the rest of the campaign but the horse has been in steady work for more than two months.
"We are just chipping away quietly with him," said Morris.
"Things are going the right way, so far, but I wouldn't like to even mention him coming back yet.
"He's been doing steady work for the past two months or so and his legs are OK at the moment."
The eight-year-old, who had been second-favourite at around 5-1 to record back-to-back victories, has not raced since finishing third to The Listener in the Lexus Chase at Leopardstown in December.
War Of Attrition is 20-1 with Gold Cup sponsors totesport to regain his crown next March.
