Janssen, a pharmaceutical company operating at Little Island, Cork, has won the National Safety Organisation's supreme award for safety. Other awards went to Merck Sharp and Dohme (best large company), Pfizer (southern region winner) and Olin Chemicals (eastern region winner).
The Irish Pharmaceutical and Chemical Manufacturers Federation, a division of IBEC, said the continued success of its members in the awards scheme was a testimony to the huge commitment by pharmachem companies to health and safety".
