Bank of Ireland Corporate Banking has today unveiled plans to target niche sectors in international markets while doubling its core business in Ireland.
Following a review of all business units, Bank of Ireland has identified corporate banking as a key growth area owing to the strong economic growth in Ireland, the United Kingdom and the United States and the gradual recovery of continental Europe's top economies.
Richie Boucher, B of I's head of corporate banking,said the bank has 100 new staff and acquired finance specialists Burdale Financial as part of the drive for growth in the United States and Europe.
"Our strategy for the future is clear with increased focus on international markets, while developing Ireland as our core market," he said.
