Heathrow airport is slowly getting back to normal today with just 200 of the thousands of passengers delayed last week still waiting on flights out, British Airways said.
A spokeswoman said all short-haul flights and 90 per cent of long haul were back in operation.
She would not be drawn on any disciplinary action to be taken against staff who walked out in the wildcat strikes, saying it was "too early to tell".
At Terminal 4, from which most BA flights depart, hundreds of yellow-jacketed BA staff were at all the entrances to the terminal, handing out a letter explaining the situation.
The letter said that as a result of the dispute with catering supplier Gate Gourmet, BA was unable to provide meals on board but would be handing out tea, coffee, milk and water provided by Gate Gourmet.
It said vouchers would be issued to all Club Europe customers and those on flights longer than three hours.
