Baby dies in Wicklow road incident

A baby has died after two cars collided on the Enniskerry road in Kilternan in Co. Wicklow

A baby has died after two cars collided on the Enniskerry road in Kilternan in Co. Wicklow. The baby’s mother who was driving the car was uninjured in the incident.

The incident happened at around 4 p.m. The driver of the second car was taken to hospital where his condition is said to be serious but stable.

Earlier this morning, a 20-year-old woman died after a single vehicle crash in Co Limerick.

She was the passenger of the car which hit a wall at Barna, Newcastlewest Co Limerick at 3.50. The local woman has not yet been named.

Last night a 21-year-old man has died following a road crash near Ennis in Co Clare.

The man was the front-seat passenger in jeep which was in collision with a car at Lisheen, Ballynacally, Ennis at 10.10 p.m.

He has not yet been named.

In the North a 44-year-old pedestrian was killed when he was struck by a car near Seaford, Co Down shortly before midnight. The man has been named as Samuel Lewis from Ford Way, Seaford.
