New York - A mother and son beat to death a three-year-old child of the family and hid the body for 20 years, a sister of the dead child has alleged in court. Ms Madeline Carmichael (61) and her son Gregory (38) face second-degree murder charges at the State Supreme Court in Brooklyn for the 1979 death of Latanisha Carmichael.
In testimony, Ms Sabrina Yaw (30), a sister of the dead child, gave an account of the alleged killing. Her mother and brother, embarrassed by her little sister's vomiting in front of guests, hit the three-year-old again and again then hid the body, wrapped in blankets, in a steamer trunk, she said.
