Preparations will begin today for the repatriation of the body of Irish backpacker Ronan Lawlor from Chile.
Mr Lawlor (28) from Durrow, Co Laois, went missing on November 18th after hiking in the Torres del Paine national park on the Argentina-Chile border.
His body was discovered by tourists in a remote spot of the park on Saturday.
His remains cannot be repatriated to Ireland until after a formal identification that is due to take place today.

The Department of Foreign Affairs is liaising with the Lawlor family and the Chilean authorities to arrange for the repatriation.
The Lawlor family has thanked the Chilean authorities for their help and praised the support given by Irish people.
